Daniel Moriarty is a British documentary and portrait photographer based in Birmingham. A recent graduate of the BA Documentary Photography program at the University of South Wales (formerly Newport), his work explores themes of identity, belonging, and community.
Alongside his personal documentary practice, Daniel works as a clinical photographer at University Hospitals Birmingham. His editorial and commercial clients include The Telegraph Saturday magazine, and he was recently named one of It’s Nice That’s "Ones to Watch."
Daniel’s work has been featured in several group exhibitions, including Dominoes and Dice at CULTVR (2021), Six Degrees of Separation at Trinity Centre (2022), Change of the Seasons at Meadow Street Community Garden (2023), and Halftone at Shift Gallery (2024). In 2025, he was selected for the ‘East Meets West’ programme by GRAIN Projects and QUAD Derby as part of FORMAT Festival, concluding with the group exhibition, ‘Overture‘ at Derbion.
